Media*West - Sunday wrapup

I went to two Torchwood panels today (although I should have been giving one on Heroes at one point.) A fair number of people had seen it for the first time the night before in the vid room and became fans. Lots of discussion about Bilis, the coherence (or not) of the team, changes in Jack, how long they might be without Jack in Torchwood, etc. I tossed the old "Owen is a rapist" and "Less naked Owen, more naked Jack!" into the mix.

Went to Tales from the White Hart and turned old SG-1 zines into old Who zines. Amazing the number of names I remember from back in the day of not just Old Who when it was Only Who but from other fandoms I was in.

I'm at the point where I'm doing the bit I hate worst - packing up to go. I'm going to hit the ground running tomorrow, and see if I can do it in a day after all. Gas prices are nasty, but between selling off the Who stuff I had and not finding that much to purchase - there was enough to not feel deprived, and not enough to break the budget - I'm going home with more than enough cash to cope.

It is a pity, I'd've loved to see you again. But as it was, the drive half killed me, even though I was pulling off for regular naps. That last leg just wipes me out every time, but it's too close to home to stop by then!

Had to miss MW*C due mostly to unexpected change in employment. Hope to make it next year.

I have a Dr.Who/Transformers vignette in progress. Care to beta?

I don't know a thing about Transformers - I'd be rubbish checking it, although I'm flattered.
