Exercise
I had no idea the 80s mix would be so popular! I expected with my f-list that the Who mix would be the runaway favorite.

Well, because I'm just that desperate to not do any more culling and had no good excuses, I went ahead and exercised to the 80s tape tonight. (Do not expect me to keep doing 2 a day - I still want to know what the termites are going to do to Sylv McCoy!) The next one will be tested Monday if I get any time to myself after Shore Leave and Tuesday if not, so there's more time to vote.

The 80s mix. Purists, I know that not all the songs actually *are* from the 80s. Don't care.

Although the mix is smaller than the previous one and the last two songs are much slower, the first two are so fast and the last two are so long that it all evens out. Around 25 minutes; walking to the beat from first to last notes put 1.28 miles on the treadmill.

Bento
Up until now, the fact that my original bentos are in thermos-style containers was a novelty more than a feature; their contents went from my refrigerator to the one at work with only a shortish commute between. However, tomorrow their claims to keep food cold for hours will be tested; rather than leave the con or stand in line for a reheated hot dog from the hotel, I'm going to pack my own lunch. Deviled ham sandwiches, cheese, strawberries, chocolate. Nothing that will go off if it doesn't stay cold, but enough to keep my brain sugar straight and keep me from knawing an arm off by late afternoon..

Also, note that Pampered Chef has a beast called a Cut 'n' Seal that basically turns sandwiches into little round pasties. (Their midsize scoop is just the right size for filling it, too.) This is the perfect size to chop into to fit into the round containers for the thermos bentos. I'm going to keep the leftover bread and toast it with butter and parsley to turn into breadcrumbs for the Bento TV mushroom cap recipe, which will be going into next week's lunches.

Bento & Harry Potter
Sad fangirl that I am, I'm trying to figure out what sort of foods would go into a Harry Potter bento for next Friday. So far, all I can think of is sticking wings on a small yellow cheese.

I just bought the DVDs for The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries Season 2 because I can't resist the cheese of Shaun Cassidy, and I'd buy more DVDs of The Partridge Family in a heartbeat if they'd just release them, so of course I had to vote for the Nostalgic Cheese mix.

And your bentos sound wonderful. You've got me thinking about them too.

Season 2 is on my wish list; Season 1 is in my shelves. Once upon a time, I was a big person in Hardy Boys fandom because I owned all but one episode - I made copies of my tapes for the Producer dog's years ago.

Fame is fleeting. :>

And yes, fame *is* fleeting, but wow, you had all of those episodes! That's fantastic. I taped a bunch off TVLand, but not all.

Whoa. Okay, I never actually watched the show, so I suppose I have some excuse... but it just hit me why the dweeb boyfriend in early S4 Buffy was named "Parker"!

Having said that, I never turn down random presents either. My amazon wishlist (and yes, Hardy Boys S2 is on it) is under this screenname @ aol.

I totally adored Parker. I watched Melrose Place and some truly sucky movies for him, which proves both my devotion and my masochism.

I got my Hardys from luck and networking, mostly. Book collector fans are pretty much the same as SF fans, and I was pretty heavily into that for a while oy, ten years ago. Twelvish. Still have all the original text Hardys and Nancys too...

Thank you for letting me know how to find your amazon wishlist. I've ordered the DVDs, and you should get them soon, I hope.

I've never seen Melrose Place - but if the ones with him are out on DVD I suspect that I will be getting them soon - but yes, I have watched some sucky movies for him, plus Baywatch Season 1, which had its moments, most of them his scenes.

Now I must go watch some Hardy Boys episodes and see about finishing the throw my youngest niece has commissioned. Her two older sisters have theirs, and she thinks I should have been able to do it in oh, an hour. *wry grin* So I want to be able to give it to her when I see her again, which might even be Monday.
