Not from a source official enough to be linkable to Firefox News, but worth the passing on.

[livejournal.com profile] principia_coh received a response from 2Entertain about the wrong R1 commentary in the S3 Doctor Who boxset. Basically, it boils down to "we're so sorry, we should have printed the liner notes to read the names on the commentary you got. We'll be fixing that."

Amazon.co.uk ships to America. And Amazon.com sells region-free players. I'm just sayin'.

My many thanks to the magic fairies. You know who who are and why I'm thanking you.

When word comes from a more official link (still waiting for the BBC comment) I'll post to Firefox News.

John Barrowman shakes that very fine ass and sings in 2 minutes of It Takes Two.

The 1000 Drabbles of Awesome for [livejournal.com profile] lifeonmartha is almost at the 400 mark in a week. WOO! Gettin' back to that tonight and tomorrow. (Y'know the nicest thing about getting the damn house decluttered? Having the time to do fun things like this instead of figuring out how to get rid of knee-deep piles of stuff.)

I'm still trying to figure out if it's worth paying an extra $40 for the track to be on the disk. Especially since I have the R2 commentary from the magic fairies.

I'm thinking "no." Not having replaced all my DVD players, I still prefer having R1 disks (not to mention that buying them proves there's a market which makes it all the more likely that they will continue to offer them.)

However, in all of this, I don't know which commentary Canada has. However, I can't imagine that they'd do two separate masters for R1.

This is just one of those "thank the fairies" issues, IMO. Especially since the Beeb can't complain of stolen royalties, because I *did* buy an authorized set from an authorized reseller.

Aren't we the Awesomest with all our Drabbles ?

Completely fabulous, and I wish I could play more. Damn the clutter in this house, it's keeping me from playing with the other kids!

(I am planning on writing another spate of them tomorrow, though. Heaven only knows when I'm going to be able to read the backlog!)

PS - it's been suggested we start putting these on Teaspoon. I think that's an excellent concept. Was planning on putting them up as separate chapters of one "story"

Ooh yes ! Good plan to put them up on Teaspoon - I keep intending to put more of my fics up there, but I find Teaspoon's user interface so flaming unfriendly, I never can make myself wrestle with it ! And I know I should, but...

It's well worth it, Teaspoon being an excellent archive and a way of advertising fanfic. And kinda in need of something other than Doctor/Rose.

Once you get the swing of the drop lists, it's not too bad.

Yeah, it's just finding the time to wrestle with it when I'd rather spend that time in actually writing ! (I'm lame, I know !)

You're talking to someone who is spending time throwing out 1/4 of her life and organizing the rest rather than writing. I'll trade...

I have an irresistable urge to do a" "Clark Kent! Superman! Clark Kent! Superman!" icon, because Barrowman looks utterly dorky in glasses. :)

I fear I have no magic fairies -- but then, I have no version of s3 yet except the torrented AVI files from while the eps were actually airing, since there are other DVD box sets in line ahead of it to be purchased (and since my birthday money wound up going on a costuming spree rather than the more usual DVD spree).

Would you like the fairies to arrange something?

In fact, one already did yesterday afternoon. (The same one in fact who provided me with Blackpool and other Tennant-related goodies. And to save myself the trouble of typing up the list of things on the second disk, I'll just try to remember to bring it with me next week.)
