Does anyone know if there's knitting calculation software? Not "design a sweater," but something that helps you calculate yardage? (Although I wouldn't say no to "design an afghan" software.)

Shiny! I hope it works with afghan yardages. I am pretty much dedicated to flat things at the moment because they are soothingly easy and gage doesn't matter so much.

Will have to ask the local store if they can order it - I'm feeling a bit guilty over getting my latest batch of yarn from Webs during their sale.

Ooooh. I bought a ton of recycled sari silk yarn from them, and they're awesome. they'll even match colors for you, if you wind up not buying enough for a project. (I did a lady eleanor stole out of it.)

It's fun stuff. (but a bit dirty...may want to give the skeins a wash first.) I got the unrefined, which was pretty soft.

I know on a lot of the lacing patterns for leathercraft they sometimes give lengths for lace or sewing/stitching material... I would assume knitting would be the same? Or perhaps not?
