Sorry guys, no story chapter. It has been a wearing, wearying week and right now I'm so tired I have to actually think about breathing. And I've got that last recap to go through by the end of the weekend.

Have neither forgotten nor given up. It's just one of the many things "on the list."

No podcast vote for the same reasons.

In fandom news, I had held a theory that because the Christmas set of Who tie-ins were one Martha, one Donna, and one Doctor on his own they were essentially seeing which sold best. Which shows that I'm not paying enough attention to the time between commission, writing, and publication. The spring '09 titles have been announced and they're all Doctor on his own. I guess anyone who wants more official Donna stories will have to follow DWM and pick up the Storybook.

I have a vague impression the Doctor may be companionless throughout the Specials (rather than having one-off companions). I've heard he's certainly companionless during this year's Xmas episode. (Xmas 08 Spoiler under the blackout)

There's "no companion" and there's "one-shot companion" - the latter works far better than the former, because in the former, at least on screen, the Doctor has to talk constantly to himself to deliver the exposition.

Now that there's no more canon Donna, I find myself wild to get more extended canon - and so far that means DWM (which doesn't appear to have finished even a single story with her) and the Storybook.

...It's a bit like Nine; there's so little, I flail to have all of it. Which leads to wondering what a Donna/Nine pairing would have been like. (*Quite* interesting!)

Donna's comic story finishes in the latest issue of DWM - # 398. I believe there's another Ten & Donna audio-exclusive story coming out some time - and the three Ten & Donna BBC Books that are out later this month (over here)...

There's another one starting next issue - but it's the last. It's called Time of My Life written by Jonathan Morris and drawn by Rob Davis.
