When you've said the same thing in comments half a dozen times, it's time to top post.
For anyone considering a netbook, I can't sing the praises of the HP 1030nr highly enough. Fast boot, good response, great power retention, lovely graphics, moderate weight (the standard 2.5 pounds) and, best of all, a near full-sized keyboard that makes *all* the difference when you're typing quickly.
It's never going to be the main computer for anyone, but as a traveling companion it provides all that could be asked for - basic writing software, wireless email connectivity, and pretty decent playback on .avi & MP3.
