Phear the wooden boobies! Priest curses statue that he considers risque. (I'm straight enough to think she has a lovely face. Okay, and a balcony you could do Shakespeare off of.)

It's the return of Lady Sybill! In an interview for a Brazilian website, she finally shows a dim grasp of reality regarding her Twilight ripoff. To wit: I realized I’d never get away with selling it, so I gave refunds to all the Ebay buyers... no attorney will defend me if I decide to publish.

On the other hand, the LOLs are still coming. This isn't mere fanfic after all, because I believe I have more training and education than the average fanfic writer, so that’s the only reason I wanted to release it as a book. Anybody have a couple of hours so I can list all the "average fanfic writers" who turned pro, especially the ones who write licensed tie-in books? Tie-ins *from the same universe* even?

And her grasp of copyright is still just as entertaining as it was when she started: the whole issue with the fans is they have been shown a way they never knew about, why can’t fans make money off the universe they feed?

Maybe because it's legally and morally the same as making money by selling the contents of the purse you just stole?

Dude...I *know* that priest and he is seriously nuts. One of my husband's co-workers belongs to that Parish and we went to his wedding last fall where Crazy!Priest was concelebrating. Well, until he walked off the altar. Seems the dress of one of the readers was a bit too low-cut for his sensibilities. He also refuses to give communion to anyone with a tongue piercing. Every now and again co-worker sends us the e-copy of the church bulletin where the crazy leaps off the page.

ETA: Co-worker sent us a link to this video last week. Mr. S and I lol'd.

Seriously, you KNOW him? My sympathies!

Hey, if he's a local, do you know of this statue? It probably costs the world, but it would look so cool in my living room...

I know! He's the priest in a pretty depressed coal mine area (not too far from Centralia) so he's not quite local - I live outside of Philadelphia and he's north of here by about 90 minutes or so.

I just checked my email chain and as of March 31 the statue was $349. No telling if the media attention has caused the price to rise. ;)

not too far from Centralia

It's the fumes, obviously.

Dude, I see real life boobies like that EVERY DAY because the beach is 2 blocks away.

Jesus. Literally.

That level of crazy -- disrupting a wedding -- you'd think the bishop might weigh in.

He really does fear the boobies, doesn't he? *resists the urge to start singing "mammary glands, mammary glands, mother nature's dairy delight..."*

Doesn't he realize that curses are black magic?

Very few Wiccans would curse, let alone the clergy (and I can't see any witch cursing this lady. Buying her, maybe).

I remain aghast at Lady Sybilla. It's a classic, isn't it? 'But I'm so different from all those others. I'm entitled!' Hand me pirate lady's gun, someone.

Well, yeah. But this guy isn't Wiccan, he's Catholic.

Ah, I think I see where the disconnect was. I consider most Christian prayer to be as much magic as any pagan ritual. Therefore, malicious prayer (which includes curses) is black magic.

Don't even bother to count the published writers. Count the lawyers, scientists, and Ph.Ds in too many fields to count. Too much education, yeah, lady, *you're* a special snowflake.

Good point.

She's a very very special snowflake. As in the short bus definition of "special."

Crazy lady with her stupid novel length fanfic.
Umm, doesn't she realise there is perhaps not a single current Doctor Who writer (on the show and the novels) who didn't start in fanfic?

I really hope this doesn't cause foolish younger writers to think they can attempt to make money from fanfic. Or maybe even at my young age I'm already part of an older generation who just looks at this and sees it for the fail it is.

I think there's always going to be someone with a clanging sense of entitlement, but hopefully the people around them are paying attention to how fast and hard they fail at their plans.
