A General Comment on Plotting

This is inspired by a certain episode of a certain show that will remain nameless due to spoilers, but it applies to Oh, So Many Things:
I dislike any story in which there is only ever One Big Bad and every single book/issue/episode is dedicated to finding Method #3717895 of defeating the same Big Bad. *Especially* if the Big Bad has a personal grudge with the Big Hero. Talk about overused plot points!
I'm sorry, but if you're going to try to come up with something longer than a miniseries, then you should at least have as many plot variables as a game of Clue!
