Last night I gave myself the second worst case of food poisoning I've ever had. (It won't overtake first until I have to go to the hospital. Hopefully, the dramamine will prevent that. Bless not_hathor, my roommate for getting that for me.)

Todsay - the busiest day of the con - is going to be... interesting times.

Yeah - the spaghetti that I left in my room for two hours. I'm gonna miss eating spaghetti...

If it's any comfort, you will eventually be able to handle spaghetti and similar things again. It took about 5 years for me to face queso flameado again after my first attempt turned out to have been made with queso-not-so-fresco, but now it's no problem.

FWIW, Russ says your experience betrays a sanitation problem in the kitchen. There's no way that spaghetti -- especially with tomato sauce -- should have gone off in only 2 hours.

I think it took about 7 years for me to eat ranch dressing again (that's the one that put me in the hospital).

I thought that spaghetti could sit out. Maybe if I'd done the marinara, but this was spaghetti with meat sauce and... well, from the speed of things, there's no question as to what poisoned me. Just the s-word alone makes me clench.

I'm wobbly this morning, but then, anyone would be after a day of no food. The saltines and apple juice are staying put, so if they continue to do so, I'll be wild and crazy and have a hardboiled egg for lunch.

I feel better, but I think I'll take up Kevin's offer to drive back with me if I stay an extra day. I'm not really sure I should tackle a long drive totally alone.
