Daily Kos has a mammoth roundup of charities which is being updated constantly.
Also, via acciochocolate (post now unlocked):
Unicef
American Red Cross & British Red Cross
World Society for Protection of Animals (USA) and worldwide
Mercy Corps
I believe Doctors Without Borders is on the ground as well.
ETA: Not that I'm going to get the answer right away - I am still not getting any email that includes the title "reply to your/an entry" even if it's on a thread I clicked "track" for - but I've got lots of yarn for the cause.
So if anyone knows of a Ravelry donation/auction link they can send me to, I will happily send yarn to the auction block.
PPS - The AOL/LJ issue seems to be semi-solved. The only reply I've seen is the one that had a title on it. AOL's spamcatcher must be grabbing all the untitled ones and blocking them; I'm not even seeing them in my filter.

"The Haitian" on "Heroes" (Jimmy Jean-Louis) is really Haitian, &
has already lost some relatives - and can't find his parents, yet.
