A very expensive, very rare cow has gotten lost in Ankh-Morpork, and it's up to Vimes and the Watch to find it.

And now, he was stuck in some nightmarish children's book, vowing to never again criticise how anyone got confused trying to Find Their Cow. He'd never truly believed how stupid people could be about finding a cow until he'd asked the guards.

I hope you've seen the book, "Where's My Cow?" Vimes decides that Sam isn't going to be seeing farmyard animals and adapts his favorite text to Ankh-Morpork.

"It goes 'Bugger it, millennium hand and shrimp!' That is Foul Ole Ron. That is not my cow!"

And by the way, I love the fact that the British national Discworld con in 2000 was called Millennium Hand and Shrimp....

The bit about the Ankh-Morpork version of Where's My Cow is one of my favorite bits from Thud. I've even seen the actual book - he did it for a charity, IIRC.
