Bob Moore, founder of Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods, turned 81 and gave his company a present: full ownership of the $24 million-plus a year business. Everyone who has worked there for three or more years now has an equal share.

Date: 2010-02-27 01:35 am (UTC)but his was one of the first "baking mills" (flour producers) to get serious about maintaining separate facilities for things like spelt, Quinoa, amaranth, etc.. so they were not "contaminated" with wheat.
i *think* they were one of the first "not gluten free only" people to make baking mixes that were gluten free.. but i could be wrong.
they pretty much proved it could be done.
