I am all asquee for the premiere of the New New Who - moreso now that I'm allowed to be undistracted in my fandom - but I am starting to avoid the many spoilers and trailers coming out. I want some of the show to be new when I see it!
Knitting-wise, I'm slightly closer to the invention of the new kind of sock. I am distracted by the shawl I just cast on; not only do I want it done before the renfaire starts, I wanted to cast on something that big while Mulder was still too dozy to attack the yarn. (He's perking up immensely!)
I've perfected the rice-cooker poached pear: peel & halve a pear, remove seeds; put in rice cooker and fill to the .5 line with may wine. Put on "quick cook." When it switches to warm, drop about 1/4 a bar of dark chocolate on each half and shut the lid. Come back in about 5-7 minutes when the chocolate is soft, fish out the pear, and eat while making lowing noises of foodgasm.
Mind you, eating a wine-soaked dessert while under severe lack of sleep means that I'm going to go down like a clubbed seal pretty shortly...
