Well, now we know for sure that it's Don who's the biggest skunk here - although I'm not really giving Bill an out for apparently planning on magically reappearing from the dead at some point in time. At least Kiesl has called Don out for it.
But now Kiesl's covered in spray and being skunky too - even during that time period, you'd think that if he (or Bill) really loved Edda as a person and not a prize, they'd, oh, give her a choice instead of decide her future between the three of them on her behalf? Don and Kiesl are talking about honor -- but technically, Kiesl "ruined" Edda plus announced his engagement, and practically, he might have knocked her up. The honorable course is certainly not to publicly throw her over at this point.
They're being jerks... and they're also being fools. Someone along this chain should have remembered that once Edda gets over shock, she comes out swinging.

Date: 2010-06-11 04:56 pm (UTC)Edda: Juliette, did I ever tell you how I met and fell in love with your father?
Juliette: I never heard you use the word "love" in the same sentence, for that matter in the same hemisphere, with any mention of Dad. When discussing him, you've said things like "bossy" and "trust agreement" and "downstairs" and "snores" and even, in a moment of rapture, "handy", but never "love".
Edda: Well, that's because our love was rather intense and passionate and close your mouth. (as Juliette stares at her in shock)

Date: 2010-06-11 05:16 pm (UTC)In light of the last couple of days, I'm wondering if there isn't some resentment in with the intensity and passion.
