Was halfway through enjoying the hell out of the last episode and casually scanning the flist when my world got rocked, so am suddenly focusing on something else.
Recs! Sherlock fandom is really, really active (and it's actually rather daunting given how dead DW fandom currently is). I do have a tendency to steer towards the slash fics (my first slash fandom! *gasp*) but there's some gen in there too.
Nothing wrong with RDJ Holmes! (Between that and this, I'm amazed and pleased that Watson is finally getting his due rather than getting the short end of the stick.)
And I've been a bit of a Holmes fan all along. I nabbed all the Holmes stuff when I worked with RtE.
While they're a bit more general Holmes, with especial emphasis on the Canon, have you looked at the Hounds of the Internet or the WelcomeHolmes mailing lists? There has been discussion of Sherlock on both mailing lists the past month, though many members (as both are US-centric) have not yet seen the series.
The drabble community, Holmes100, has found new life since Sherlock debuted. If it's a quick Sherlock fic hit you need, it's there. :)
Heh. I'm not much a Holmes fan, as I think you know from conversations about the BF audios, but I did enjoy this series.
(Although the first episode was by far the best, and really, if that's the real Moriarty (and not his kid brother trying to be clever and dangerous), then I shall be rather disappointed.)
