Dad update

Dad's still home. He's still learning the ins and outs of managing his blood sugar, but he's upbeat. They still can't find the insulinoma, but if/when they do, they've decided on a surgical hospital which is close to me, so that's good.
They asked me if I had researched insulinoma on the Internet yet. When I confessed no, my father told me with vast amusement that apparently 3 articles in five were about insulinoma in ferrets.* So every time they search, they think of me.
I've dug up one of my little stuffed ferrets, which I will present to Dad as a hospital buddy when I go home next weekend.
*For those who've met me in the last 7 years, I adore ferrets and had, over the course of time, presented my folks with 5 "grandferrets."

*looks fondly at the Guardian angel Dachshund her father gave her during her last surgery*
I swear to god - the found this little miniature dauchshund statue... with wings. And a halo.
And here I thought I was being marginally original with the grandpuppie thing... *wink*
