Pitch Your Favorite Charities To Me
Mar. 15th, 2012 09:40 amM and I have decided that we're going to be surprisingly serious on April Fool's Day and sit down and make estate notebooks - printed lists of what to do with the kind of stuff that's not listed specifically in the will and all of which I want to give to charity, education, or history. In that order.
For example, my books (after my friends get their choices) are all to go to The Book Thing. My rennie stuff will go to Team Wench.
So this is your chance to raise a hand for your favorite charities. Where do you think I should stipulate that these things go:
- Knitting supplies: yarn, needles, patterns, books
- Fannish things: fanzines, books, artwork
- Jewelry (nothing valuable, but lots of pretty)
- Clothing
- Bedding/linens/towels
- China/kitchen goods
And for that matter, what odd things do certain places want? (For instance, vets always want towels to use as bedding.) What am I not thinking of that your school crafts want or your charity needs?
(Ob disclaimer: Please list something that's likely to still be around in many years. It's not like I'm planning on walking in front of a bus or something.)
