A big blanket THANK YOU! to everyone for their good wishes. (Please forgive non-personal thank yous -- It is still a bit much for me to concentrate or type.) The good news is, I'm shaking off the anesthesia and the post-surgical ...squelch... ahead of schedule. The bad news is, now that the hospital-given good drugs have worn off, I'm getting a lot more aware of how sore my body is.

So my plans for the day are pretty much to eat, sleep, and read, with occasionally the thrill of moving a book or two from the library to the living room. Don't worry if I go quiet for a day or two; I'm lurking as my strength allows.

Very best wishes for a speedy recovery; sorry I hadn't actually cottoned on you were having an op.

S'okay, and thank you. I haven't talked about it much online, particularly since it's been rather a whirl here - from doctor saying "Houston, we have a problem" to waking up in the recovery room was just under 18 days (!)

That said, the problem is most definitely OVER, huzzah! My biggest fear was that this was the tip of some horrible iceberg. So now I'm sticking my housemate with all the chores recovering nicely.

Now there's a thought - I wonder if I'm clear-headed enough to work on the Watson scarf a bit?

Don't overtax yourself, though!

Even a small procedure can take it out of you... rest, reading & good hydration are restorative!

It's a bit nice to have a legitimate reason to pamper myself for a couple of days!

Thank you. I'm starting to feel quite perky... well, as long as I don't try to move too quickly.

I've heard the expression, "I wish I were home sick in bed." Not miserable sick, just sick enough not to be expected to do anything for a few days but eat, sleep, and read. Enjoy that aspect and knowing that the problem is gone. Pat pat hug.

and knowing that the problem is gone

Tongue cannot TELL how relieved I am that there isn't going to be a "okay, now let's try this" operation. That was my biggest fear right there.

Well, that and when the nurses hinted I may end up on YouTube. :D

What part of you on YouTube? Not necessarily one that most people would recognize. (After my fibroid procedure, which involved feeding a catheter up from the large artery at the groin, I lost track of how many assorted medical-- I hope-- personnel of both sexes had to stop by and "take a look at your groin" to make sure it wasn't starting to bleed. After a while I wanted to sell tickets.)

Which part do you think? :D. They were using some new machine & I had to sign a release for the rep to be in the room.

So glad you are recovering well. Don't try to do too much too soon though, as it can cause you to go backwards. *hug*

I've verged on downright perky today. Not that I'm allowing myself out of the house or to do anything involving more thought than knitting a starfish cloth, but still...
