I think a lot of the silence is also breath holding waiting for it to air in the US. I can't even IMAGINE how things are going to start going 'splodey after tomorrow night.

Dreamwidth has a fair amount of activity, although I don't know if it has the same comms like the newsletters and fight club that I still use here. Tumblr appears to be THE place these days.

That is really too bad, because you can't really have a conversation on Tumblr.

I see posts over there with thousands upon thousands of notes, mostly "likes" and "reblogs," but there's no way to aggregate comments and find out what everybody is thinking unless you chase down all the threads, and even then you'll miss things, and you can't cross-fertilize ideas. I have a Tumblr account, but I don't talk to anyone over there. I've had better conversations in the comments threads on Pinterest. (Pinterest, now, I love... but I still wouldn't use it as a place to talk to people.)
