Major, major props for commentor "Entropy" for this line: "Hint: A real editor is a good thing"

Not up there with the famous Rice rant, though, as she hasn't started going on about interrogating texts or Dickensian principles.

Sex scenes should serve the plot, not the other way around.

I agree and I find that the attempts to turn the "ardur" or whatever into Some Big Meaningful Plot Point instead of a fuckfest are annoying. Which is why I honestly think it was refreshing for her to outright say "it's selling, people, better than the other stuff did."

The rest of the rant is another issue...
