Shallow Nea is still shallow
Dec. 18th, 2008 07:41 pmThe BBC has posted a denial that Tennant's injury will delay shooting of the next Who special, (set to begin 9 days after the end of Hamlet) which seems to be in response to the half-dozen articles saying he'll be recuperating up to three months.
Weirdly, I'm relieved that there is vague confirmation that he is going to be recuperating a long time. I'm resigned to not seeing him onstage this trip, moreso as today's Soniclippy reading list included a rave review of Rowan Atkinson and Burn Gorman in Oliver. Five actors out of six isn't bad.
Not that the RSC would bother confirming that he won't be back. Not when I'm already getting defensive emails *and* snailmail pointing out that they will not be giving refunds because they ARE still putting on the show. I bet they'll be hinting he could still return right up to the final performance.
