I'm slowly becoming more feminine. The original prodding was [livejournal.com profile] shayheyred's, although now I'm freakishly stalker-like imitating following rather closely in [livejournal.com profile] fandance's footsteps. Since she knows what she's doing, this is not a bad thing. But it feels odd for someone who, in the words of Stupina, is "NOT a girlie-girl!"

Fandance cropped her hair, and after I said a bunch of rather stupid things in my shock (I sometimes wonder why anybody likes me, I really do) I thought, "y'know... that's a really great look." So off mine came too, with Fandance quite nicely serving as a living model. I've been keeping it quiet so I could surprise a few people, but on the whole, I like it a lot. I'm going to keep this cut for a while, instead of my usual "okay, it's cut, I'm going to go back to growing it now" attitude. I'm just never going to have that long healthy thick rennie hair I want, alas.

Next up is apparently going to have to be fake nails. I was resisting that quite strongly (as F, who has them, can attest)... until one of mine ripped across the quick a few days ago. Nothing like healing *that* to make one reassess one's positions. I'm thinking I'll drop by the boutique and get them Friday so they'll be all nice for the holiday.

Weight and wardrobe are next; the first to be dealt with beginning Jan 2 (it's Christmas, not Lent!) and the second to be sewn through the year.

On the other hand, I've had to stop using Burt's Bees on my face because something - I don't know yet if it was the cleanser, the repair serum, the overnight cream or the moisturizer - was making me break out. So we go cold turkey until the face clears, and then start over, one thing at a time.

I'm not entirely sure if I'm metamorphing or just growing up.
