And I couldn't give up on Land of the Dead because it had the Doctor fretting over Nyssa. I always wonder if that feeling of responsibility (not necessarily merited, but he definitely had it) for her being orphaned was something Peter consciously carried over from his predecessor, or if she just came off as the most fragile of the trio who were with him most of his run. But he always seemed extra protective of her.
I also love the banter between him and the decorator, trying to deal with the critters in the house after the groups split up. And while I hadn't thought about it until today, part of the reason I like those bits best is that they don't involve anyone trying to be American...
I'll probably give it another try sometime - but in the meantime, I have 66 other adventures that I won off ebay, plus the ones I've bought, plus the ones coming off eps...
